Friday 24th of May at 13.00 you are invited to take part in the activation of Jenny Nordmark's work FOLKMAKT !
Within the framework of Luleåbiennalen, the artist Jenny Nordmark has created the temporary work FOLKMAKT for Kiruna's new civic square. The work consists of 12 doors saved from the old City Hall Igloo, and raises questions about the the possibility of citizens taking part in the democratic process and influencing people in power.
The work was inaugurated 1st of March 2024 on the city square in Kiruna, with speeches by Jenny Nordmark, Karin Stöckel and Jari Söyrinki. Now it's your turn. Prepare a speech of maximum 5 minutes and join us to make your voice heard. Register here.

The work is shown as part of Luleåbiennalen 2024 through the project I Händelsernas Centrum, where experiences are created and provide concrete examples of how culture and art impact our living environments, experiences of places, and our well-being amidst ongoing and imminent changes.
