Konstfrämjandet Norrbotten, the People's Movements for Art Promotion in North Bothnia, is a non-profit organisation based in the North of Sweden which, since 2021, is the head of the Luleå Biennial. Konstfrämjandet Norrbotten organizes art projects, exhibitions and other art happenings in order to make accessible and strengthen the arts and the artist role in society.

Building on collaboration as its foundation, Konstfrämjandet Norrbotten works to highlight both small and large cultural actors, organizations, and initiatives already operating in the Norrbotten region, thereby mapping out a diverse art and cultural landscape.

Konstfrämjandet Norrbotten is a part of Folkrörelsernas Konstfrämjande, the People's Movements for Art Promotion, who works toward the mission "art for everyone". Konstfrämjandet can be found around the country and through our various member organizations and districts. The divergent districts are united in a strong artistic and social interest. Our members are various social movements, such as educational associations and worker’s unions, and other popular movements.

Konstfrämjandet are convinced of the importance of art and education, and we want everyone to have access to art in an egalitarian society.
