Olga Prokhorova

My spirit is fluid, unframed. My destination is beyond the border. My personality is a cultural cocktail and there are new ingredients to come. In this art work I will give myself another birth: unpredictable, courageous, monumental – with Russian heritage; pure, transparent, sensitive – with Finnish influence; free and philosophical – with Swedish.

Olga Prokhorova lives in Oulu, Finland. She was born and lived most of her life in Izhevsk, Russia. Here she was educated as a journalist, worked on local TV for five years and created programmes for children. Prokhorova then left to study Performance Art in Sweden and has been an active performer since then. Her performances are built up like rituals, where every action and object has personal meaning to her.
